“मैं, [नाम], ईश्वर/सत्यपन से प्रमाणित करता/करती हूँ कि मैं भारतीय संविधान के द्वारा स्थापित किए गए, संविधान के अनुसार उपस्थित रहूँगा/रहूँगी, भारत की संप्राणता और अखंडता का समर्थन करूँगा/करूँगी, कि मैं संघ के लिए प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में अपने कर्तव्यों का यथाश्रद्धा और आत्मसमर्पण से निर्वहन करूँगा/करूँगी, और कि मैं संविधान और कानून के अनुसार सभी प्रकार के लोगों के प्रति निष्ठा और समर्पण से कर्तव्यों का निर्वहन करूँगा/करूँगी, भय या पक्षपात, स्नेह या द्वेष के बिना।”

Term: The term of the Prime Minister of India is not fixed by the Constitution. The Prime Minister serves at the pleasure of the President, who can dismiss them if they lose the confidence of the Lok Sabha (the lower house of Parliament). The term of the Prime Minister ends if they resign, lose a vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha, or complete their term as a member of the Lok Sabha (which is a maximum of 5 years).
